At his nomination hearing to be United States ambassador to Ireland, New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez tells Edward Crawford that he was involved in Irish issues as part of the Ad Hoc Irish Caucus in House of Representatives which got President Bill Clinton to get Gerry Adams to give him his first visit to the United States to get away from a gun in a bomb which ultimately led to the Good Friday Accords, much at stake besides economic realities for a good resolution to Brexit.
