Winter Arrives Early in SW British Columbia and Northern Washington State
As an arctic low hits the Sothwest British Columbia Coast and the Pacific Northwest of Washington State, dangerous conditions on roads and highways create more chaos. Even more concerning is the temperatures dropping to the minus 16 range with suchba high number of homeless on both sides of the border. Residents of both sides of the border are already struggling to meet increased energy costs for home heating and this storm, coupled with a projected long period of subzero temperatures, keeping warm will be a struggle for the homeless and lower income housed persons.
