Giant Torches With A 400-Year History Light Up The Night Sky
FUKUSHIMA, JAPAN – NOV. 14: Around 25 giant torches 6 to 10 meters high were lit one by one in the "Taimatsu Akashi" festival, an event with a 400-year history held in Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture on November 14. The event originated to mourn those who died in the attack on Sukagawa Castle by the warrior Date Masamune in period of civil war.
