US Anti-Doping Chief Executive Travis Tygart tells members of the House energy and commerce committee at a hearing on doping in athletics that we are at a critical juncture for the soul of sport, that fairness and integrity in athletic competition. Tygart says almost understand how and why clean athletics are under threat after discovery of widespread, state-sponsored doping by Russia, noting that the thousand Russian athletes have been implicated in a scandal spread across 30 sports and the scores of athletes competed in the Rio Olympic Games not having been subject to credible anti-doping programs.
