US Anti-Doping Agency Director says Olympic athletes incensed since Russia and China doping scandals, calls for WADA action
US Anti-Doping Agency Chief Executive Officer Travis Tygart says in opening testimony at a Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Technology, and Data Privacy hearing about lacking international response to Chinese doping in Olympic swimming that China scandal is happening on heels of Russia state-sponsored doping scheme making it no wonder world's athletes are incensed once again, but instead of acknowledging and fixing its failures WADA has dug in to protect the Chinese and its backroom secret decision-making process, with WADA declining to come to Congress for the third time after being invited, requiring first that WADA must disclose entire Chinese TMZ dossier since justice for athletes demands it, second that time for blind trust in WADA is over requiring independent expert audit, and finally that WADA must be independent since core principles of effective anti-doping system require freedom from sports influence because you cannot have fox guarding henhouse.
