Another letter received in case of stolen Goya portrait; ENGLAND: London: INT MS Letter - SF Victoria Station: MS Left Luggage counter MS Gerald Seymour SOF: The police arrived here at 3.25 this afternoon, just 5 minutes after a tip off call. They feel that the 10x8" box of film papers does not contain the ashes of the Goya portrait, and they feel the thieves are using it as an arm-twister both upon themselves and upon the authorities at the National Gallery. It's pretty obvious that the thieves are trying to make it plain that the next time, the box will contain the real thing. I asked Mr Henry Arden what sort of man gave him the box last night.
