AMASYA, TÜRKİYE - APRIL 3: Anadolu video captured the moments of meeting the newborn lambs with their mothers in a barn in northern Türkiye on Monday (April 3). In an agricultural enterprise in the northern Amasya city, moments of meeting the sheep with their lambs after grazing amaze the breeders who experience a rush in lamb births during the spring. Muhammet Altiparmak, Director of Gokhoyuk Agricultural Enterprise said that more than 6,000 lambs were born in January and February. “We had 70% twinning rate in our lambs, we also have three quadruplets and one sextuplet. We have been caring for these lambs with the affection of mother's hand from the moment they were born,” he added. According to Altiparmak, lambs and sheep find each other by smell and sound. “In about two-three minutes, all mothers and lambs meet each other. Then, after the lamb’s stomach is full, he walks side by side with mother and wanders around the pasture,” he noted. The breeders house the lambs in separate barns from their mothers to accustom them to fodder such as grass and hay, and take the sheep to graze on the pasture.
