UNGUIA, CHOCO, COLOMBIA - MAY 14: An indigenous community also known as Tule or Guna living in the Colombian-Panamanian border region have been resisting decades-old threat posed by rightist paramilitary groups and their successors to preserve their identity, way of life, and customs through rituals.
The Guna, in the language itself, spelled Kuna before a 2010 orthographic reform, are an Indigenous people of Panama and Colombia. In the Guna language, they call themselves Dule or Tule which means meaning "people".
The native Colombians - also known as the Guna - live in small timber-board houses with roofs made of tree branches in the municipality of Unguia, in Choco, a strategically important area on the border with Panama, in the Darien gap of the country.
Anadolu Agency Video News (AAVN) camera videoed Tule people in an isolated, fantastic village which sits in a hidden paradise in the Darien gap on May 14, 2022.

The Tule community was almost wiped out by the armed conflict for 23 years. They survived the violence of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), guerrillas.
On Nov. 24, 2016, the government signed a peace deal with the FARC, ending 52 years of civil war.
The FARC laid down its arms after a decades-long conflict that killed more than 260,000 victims and displaced 7 million. The deal brought a cease-fire after more than five decades of armed conflict between FARC guerrillas and the government. (Footage by Juan David Moreno Gallego/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
