World's oldest living fish 'Methuselah' kept in zoological setting since 1938

SAN FRANCISCO, US - JANUARY 19: An estimated 85-90 years old Methuselah just might be the longest-lived fish in a zoological setting on Earth. Known as the Australian (or Queensland) lungfish, it is 4-foot-long (1.2 meters) and one of only six living species of air-breathing lungfish. Methuselah came to San Francisco on a steamship from Australia back in 1938. Since then, it has been kept at Steinhart Aquarium, which is one of the most biologically diverse and interactive aquariums in the world. Home to nearly 40,000 live animals, representing more than 900 unique species, it offers guests an unprecedented view of underwater and terrestrial habitats.
