Professor Turley urges Congress consider impeachment carefully before cutting founders' tree
American University School of Law Professor Jonathan Turley tells the House Judiciary Committee in a statement at its first public impeachment inquiry hearing against President Donald Trump that both sides in the controversy had demonized the other to justify any measure in their defense, the saddest part of it all forgetting the common article of faith that binds each to the Constitution so before to cut down the tree so carefully planted by the framers he hoped Congress would consider what to do when the wind blows again perhaps against a Democratic president.
