Professor Turley cautions against inchoate impeachment of President Trump
American University School of Law Professor Jonathan Turley tells the House Judiciary Committee in a statement at its first public impeachment inquiry hearing against President Donald Trump that all were mad whether a slipshod impeachment would make people less mad or only an invitation for further madness against every future administration, not wrong for the House to investigate and Ukraine controversy with legitimate reason nor in an election year, there was no good time for impeachment but it was wrong to impeach on the case of the unknowable or peripheral, a record of conflicts not fully considered and subpoenaed witnesses with material evidence to expose every future president to the same type of inchoate impeachment.
