Senate adopts FY25 budget resolution by 51-48 after amending House measure
Alabama Senator Katie Britt as Presiding Officer declares the vote to adopt a House-passed fiscal year 2026 budget resolution as amended. Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine and Rand Paul of Kentucky voted no; Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Patty Murray did not vote. The measure next went back to the House for a vote on adoption whereafter committees would then act under reconciliation instructions in the concurrent resolution.
