Bastille frontman Dan Smith wears colours of Ukrainian flag on red carpet at NME Awards

Adam Lambert, Lady Leshurr, Sam Fender and Bastille's Dan Smith were among the stars treading the red carpet at the NME Awards in London on Wednesday. Speaking to the PA Media news agency, Adam Lambert criticised a Florida bill, dubbed the Dont Say Gay Bill, that would ban discussion of sexual orientation in primary schools. Bastille's frontman Dan Smith wore a pin featuring the colours of the Ukrainian flag. He told PA: "I guess it is just a way to show to anyone who is watching that we are massively thinking about everyone in Ukraine and doing everything we can to lend our support and try and fundraise for an absolutely horrendous situation that is completely unthinkable." Asked how she was feeling about presenting the show, Lady Leshurr told PA: Who would have thought my Brummie accent would have got me this far? Some people were saying that they couldnt stand the Brummie accent and now I am hosting a whole event with Daisy, so it just seems amazing.
