COLIN FIRTH SOT THINKS ALL PEOPLE IN HIS CATEGORY DESERVED PRIZE

Actor Colin Firth SOT after winning Best Actor Oscar, saying he thinks all in his category deserved a prize. Firth won his Oscar for his performance in "The King's Speech". This at the 83rd Academy Awards, where "The King's Speech" also took home the award for best picture. SOT: "I don't know if it's a special year or just what have I been missing. Cause I think this year there's been some wonderful, wonderful stuff. And certainly my category, I would have expanded the nominations to 7 or 8 people. You know? I think all the people in my category deserved a prize. But um, I would have included Robert Duvall, Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn, you know, I uh, I looked around and though this is an absolutely wonderful thing I sometimes think it's a shame that it's a competition."
