Actor Billy Baldwin arriving at Joe Paterno's funeral. The public viewing was at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the campus of Penn State on January 24, 2012 in State College, Pennsylvania and then on the 25th there was a private funeral. Paterno, who was 85, died due to complications from lung cancer on January 22, 2012. Paterno, died of lung cancer at the age of 85. He served as the school's head football coach for 46 years and won two national titles before being fired in November in the wake of a child sex-abuse scandal involving a former assistant, Jerry Sandusky.
