A open packet of "Nasi Lemak" rice sold in Klang railway station in Malaysia. This packet of rice consist of coconut flavored rice served with chili paste, ikan billies (dried anchovies) and fish. A traditional way in Malaysia to pack food using paper wrapper. Earlier days they use bananas leave as food wrapper. Nasi lemak is a Malay fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf. It is commonly found in Malaysia, where it is considered the national dish,[6] and also popular in neighboring countries such as Singapore;[7] Indonesia especially in Eastern Sumatra; Brunei and Southern Thailand. Nasi Lemak also can be found in the Southern Philippines prepared by Filipino Muslims, it is considered one of the most famous dishes for Malay-type breakfast.
