Mule Deer Buck - stock photo
Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus) are a newly-evolved species, originating as a Black-tail buck x White-tail doe hybrid. This fellow was photographed near Ute Park (Cimarron Canyon, Colfax County) New Mexico. In Michigan we'd call him a six-point with eye-guards; in New Mexico we'd call him a three-point. He may even be an asymmetrical 3x2, but I suspect that the right side may have suffered a broken point.
