Lovebugs on Flower - stock photo
Lovebugs feed on flower in the Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge just west of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The lovebugis a member of the family of march flies. It is also known as the honeymoon fly, kissing bug, or double-headed bug. It is common to parts of Central America and the southeastern United States. During and after mating, adult pairs remain coupled, even in flight, for up to several days.
