Lehman Caves - Great Basin National Park - Nevada, USA - Graffiti - stock photo
The Lehman caves were discovered in the 1880s. Before National Park Service took control of the caves in this park in 1933, much damaged has been done by operators and visitors. They used the cave for weddings, dances and picnics and would break pieces of stalagmites and stalactites to take home as souvenirs. Notice on the upper right hand of the image a graffiti, a handwritten note possibly from many years ago.
