Savannah Georgia "n"nLaid out along Abercorn Street in 1837, Lafayette Square was named for the Marquis de Lafayette, a Frenchman who served as Washington"u2019s Aide de Camp during the American Revolution. Lafayette visited Savannah in 1825 and was highly regarded by the local citizens."n"nThere is so much going on in this square that I had difficulty figuring out what I wanted to present. I settled on the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, even though it was obscured by a tree I thought there was enough of the church visible to make out whats there. I liked the diagonal line leading up to the church. Visual artist call a line leading up to a subject a "leading line". "n"n
