The cells near the surface are tall, columnar cells, whereas the cells in the base are more cube-shaped or cuboidal. This epithelium is found in the male urethra of the penis and is also called the Penile Urethra. Stratified Columnar Epithelium is also found in salivary gland ducts, the vas deferens and in areas of the pharynx.
