Note the branching of these fibers that form an extensive framework or stroma that functions in support in the lymph node and many other tissues and organs. The pink structure at the top is the Capsule of the lymph node composed of connective tissue. Lymphocytes and Macrophages are very abundant in lymph nodes. The reticular fibers are stained with silver.
