Changdeokgung Palace - stock photo
Changdeokgung is referred to the East Palace and means "Palace of Prospering Virtue". Like many other buildings in Seoul, the palace was heavily destroyed during Japanese occupation and today, only about 30% of the structures remain intact. This was the second palace built after Gyeongbokgung and is the palace that made UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites.
