Bitterly cold day in Alaska - stock photo

We awoke to thirty degrees below zero this morning, and since the day was so clear and beautiful we decided to head to Glennallen and have lunch at the Brown Bear Café. When we arrived in town the temperature was minus 36. When we headed back home around 1:30 PM the temperature had risen to a balmy minus 20. I took this shot as we headed down Ranch House hill, as we headed west. Other than the frame, it is a SOOC shot. The sun made it's own bokeh to the left of the image - and in the middle ground you see wood smoke drifting across the road from a cabin nestled in the woods on the left.
