Avenue of the Baobabs (Adansonia grandidieri) - stock photo
Baobabs just before sunset just outside of Morondava in the Menabe region of Madagascar, which is the region of Madagascar's Sakalava tribal group. These are known as Grandidier's baobab, and are the largest and most famous of Madagascar's six species of baobabs. This tree which is imposing and unusual is endemic to Madagascar, where it is an endangered species threatened as a result of the encroachment of agricultural land.
