As One Captures Images of Nature and Its Beauty, That person often gives a little bit of the heart away For in giving that precious part to Nature, It finds ways to share that with others. Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one afternoon at the Denali Viewpoint South in Denali State Park. I���d been around this area many years prior on a train ride from Anchorage up to Denali. It was at the Hurricane Gulch bridge overlook that I first became aware of the state park to the south of the ���big brother��� national park...and where I knew I wanted to one day visit on a future trip. So when this trip came up with a chance to stop a few times to soak in views and even hike a little bit, it was that serendipity of events I���d been looking forward to. Sadly, Denali and its famous peaks were hidden in clouds that afternoon, but I would have a chance to see that another day on this trip. For this image, I went wide and brought the focal length in close to capture as much as I could of this setting with the mountain peaks of the Alaska Range and then and Chulitna River below. I decided to angle my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward and include more fo the foreground to both minimize distortion with the wider angle setting and also to let the eyes have the sweeping feel to be drawn into the image.
