HOTAN, CHINA: (FILES) This 15 September 2003 photo shows people at an anti-terrorism exhibition on East Turkestan Islamic Movement seperatists in Hotan, a desert Silk Road town along the southern boundary of the Taklamakan Desert in China's far western Xinjiang region. Emigres from Xinjiang have created 17 September 2004 what they referred to as a "government-in-exile," saying they want to join the community of nations under the name of East Turkestan.
