US-BIRDLIKE DINOSAURS

This 15 October, 1999 photograph shows a Caudipteryx zoui model, part of the "Dinosaurs Take Wing" exhibit at the National Geographic Society in Washington, DC. The birdlike creature was one of many fossils dating back more than 120 million years that have been found by Chinese paleontologist Xu Xing in the Liaoning Province in China. This birdlike creature and many others will be on display 15 October, 1999 through 18 January, 2000 at the National Geographic Society.
