The biceps is the largest and most prominent muscle of the front of the arm, 1899. From 'The Treatise of the Human Anatomy and Its Applications to the Practice of Medicine and Surgery, Volume I' (1899). It arises by two heads- the long and the short. Its function is to flex the forearm on the arm, to supinate the forearm, and to slightly adduct the arm. Blood supply is from the muscular branches of the brachial artery. Nerve supply is from the musculo-cutaneous nerve. (Photo by VintageMedStock/Getty Images)
