Corporal Playing the Piano
(Original Caption) Syncopating Corporal on Guam. Guam: Corporal Philip Mancini is the maestro giving forth at the keyboard of an American made piano found in the ruins of the town of Agat on recaptured Guam. Around him are members of a pack Howitzer unit who salvaged the piano which was found to be out of tune and slightly worse for three years of playing the Jap national anthem. Otherwise the Marine buddies of Cpl. Mancini found the entertainment adequate. The pianist comes from Milford, Mass.
