(Original Caption) Sen. Irving M. Ives (center) opened his 18 hour radio and television marathon in a final pre-election bid for the governorship of the Empire State. Seated left is Rep. Jacob Javits, GOP candidate for Attorney General. The Republican telethon, which began at 6 AM this morning and will continue until midnight, will present various GOP candidates in the state throughout the day. Three networks in the state will carry the telecasts at various times throughout the day, from 219 W. 48th St.
