JUN 28 1943 Post Opera 1943 Producing Light Operas is a business as well as an art; and there is much more to it than just getting people together and asking them to sing and dance. Every music "part" and speaking "sides" - as well as every costume and stage "prop" has to be checked out and in, and attendance at all rehearsals is rigidly checked. An exceptionally intelligent and industrious "management clerk" is assigned this job. This picture shows Miss Margey Orpen (seated) who performs this task for The Denver Post's "Countess Maritza" opera company. She also sings in the company. (Denver Post via Getty Images)
