Model Of The Intern Anatomy Of The Kidney Of An Adult Human Body Anterior View Of A Frontal Section. The Kidney, Wrapped In A Fibrous Capsule In Maroon, Is Composed Of The Cortex Superficial Layer And The Medulla, In The Middle Area. The Latter Includes Several Malpighian Pyramids In Red Separated By The Renal Columns. The Top Of Each Pyramid, Called A Papilla, Leads To A Calyx In White That Collects The Urine. This Is Then Excreted Into The Renal Pelvis Central Hollow Structure Of The Kidney, In Beige, In Which Two Holes Collecting Tubules Open Up. The Cortex And The Renal Columns Contain The Blood Vessels Arteries In Red And Veins In Blue. The Renal Sinus, Cavity In Which The Papillae Are Located, Contains Fat In Yellow.
