(Original Caption) May 3, 1965 - Hayneville, Alabama: Unidentified FBI agent (right) escorts Gary Thomas Rowe into waiting car after Rowe made a brief appearance at the Lowndes County courthouse, scene of trial of one of the three Ku Klux Klansmen charged with the slaying of civil rights worker Mrs. Viola Liuzzo. Rowe reportedly is an FBI undercover agent who was an eyewitness to the slaying.
