Pocomoke State Park
SNOW HILL, MD, AUGUST 17, 2011: Jennifer Elmer shows a Northern Pine Snake to visitors at the Nature Center of the Pocomoke River State Park where campers can enjoy canoeing, camping, swimming in the pool, and visiting the nature center. Ms. Elmer who has about nine exotic snakes at her home volunteers at the Nature Center. The Pocomoke State Park camping ground is located within the 15,000 wooded acres of Pocomoke State Forest and is open all year around. It rarely reaches full capacity and is therefor a good alternative to the mostly sold out beach camping grounds. (Photo by ASTRID RIECKEN For The Washington Post via Getty Images)
