New Delhi, INDIA: In this picture taken 18 February 2007 at the Jaipur Polo Ground in New Delhi, models present outfits by Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani during a fashion show held on the sidelines of an international polo match. With its origins set in ancient Persia, Polo was popularised in India during the reign of the Mughal emperors. New Delhi's Jaipur Polo Ground is a popular venue for Indian Polo, where millitary animal trainers and top brass, foreign wanabee dignitaries, Indian wanabee socialites and of course the real versions of both, are united by the spectacle of the game and all its trappings. "Let other people play at other people's things, but the king of games is still the game of Kings" is a popular couplet written in honour of the game, which is enjoying a rennaisance in India. As the Indian economy soars, the new and aspiring Maharajas are flocking back in droves to parade their wealth at the Polo ground.
