Fukuju Kaikan Garden is a part of Fukuyama Castle grounds...
FUKUYAMA, HIROSHIMA, JAPAN - 2018/04/19: Fukuju Kaikan Garden is a part of Fukuyama Castle grounds built at the site of the ruins of Ninomaru Palace. Its main hall has an enormous tatami room designed to view the garden and the castle in the background. The garden itself is a forest pond style garden designed by Nishimura, a Kyoto artist. The garden's pond is in the shape of a heart. The garden's teahouse was built in harmony with the garden. Fukuyama Castle is sometimes called Hisamatsu Castle - or Iyo Castle was the castle of the Bingo-Fukuyama during the Edo period of Japanese history.
