MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: Director of Aboriginal Art at Sotheby's, Tim Klingender inspects a collection of eight ceremonial spearheads which are expected to sold for around 15,000 Australian dollars (10,650 USD) at auction, in Melbourne, 23 July 2004. The collection of aboriginal paintings is the largest and most valuable ever assembled for auction with collectors from around the world bidding for the 595 works of art valued inexcess of eight million Australian dollars (5.6 million USD) with the highlight being a painting Australia's most famous aboringinal painter Rover Thomas whose only known painting of Uluru (Ayers Rock) is expected to become the first painting by an aboriginal to sell for more tham one million Australian dollars (700,000 USD).
