Darryl Stingley Lying on Stretcher During Football Game
(Original Caption) Darryl Stingley, the New England Patriot's outstanding wide receiver, is removed from playing field after he suffered a broken neck here in the exhibition game against the Oakland Raiders. Stingley was paralyzed from the head down after a collision with Raider defensive back Jack Tatum in the second quarter. He was reported improved on August 13th after surgery. Attendants in the picture are unidentified.
