(Original Caption) Costumed for their roles in Aida four Metropolitan Opera stars smile at the camera after a dress rehearsal for the Met opening Monday night. Left to right: baritone Leonard Warren who'll sing the role of "Amonasro"; soprano Zinka Milanov, "Aida"; contralto Blanche Thebom, "Amneris"; tenor Mario del Monaco "Radames". The Met will present four excerpts from Operas on opening night instead of the customary one full opera. Heard will be the prologue of Pagliacci; act one of La Boheme; act two of The Barber of Seville; act one, scene one, and act two of Aida. Warren will sing two roles. He'll sing the Pagliacci prologue as well as the role of "Amonasro" in Aida.
