HARARE, ZIMBABWE - 2024/05/03: A Cape pangolin, also known as Temminck's pangolin (Latin: Smutsia temminckii), named Marimba in the arms of her carer at Wild Is Life sanctuary and rehabilitation center in Zimbabwe. Pangolins are the most trafficked animals in the world, primarily as a result of traditional medicine and bushmeat, and their numbers in the wild are unknown. Wild is Life Sanctuary is a wildlife nature reserve established in 1998 that serves as a haven for abandoned, injured, and orphaned wild animals, providing them with a second chance at life in a natural habitat.
