Statue of George Frederick Handel (Victorian engraving) - stock illustration

The statue of the composer George Frederic Handel (1685-1759) in Westminster Abbey, London, where he is buried in the South Transept. The monument was created by the sculptor Louis Francois Roubiliac and was unveiled in 1762, with the face modelled from Handels death mask. Engraving from The Saturday Magazine, published in 1837 by the Committee of General Literature and Education appointed by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge.
