Place of death of Ludwig II, wood engraving, published 1887 - stock illustration
Place of death of the Bavarian King Ludwig II and the psychiatrist Bernhard von Gudden on Lake Starnberg on June 13, 1886. There are still numerous rumors surrounding the deaths of the two. A memorial cross in Lake Starnberg near Berg still reminds us of this tragedy. Wood engraving based on a drawing by Karl Zopf (German painter, 1858 - 1944), published in 1887.
