Nineteenth century mission station at Kuruman in South Africa - stock illustration
Two views of the Mission Station at Kuruman, Seodin, South Africa, in the 19th century. The mission was founded at New Lattakoo in 1816 by the London Missionary Society and moved to the Seodin site in 1824. It is named after the missionary Robert Moffat who lived and worked at the mission with his wife Mary from 1824 until 1870. Many of the Moffat Mission buildings are still in existence and are a tourist attraction. From Sunday at Home - A Family Magazine for Sabbath reading, 1883, published by the Religious Tract Society, London.
