Dolmen (from Cornish tolmen "stone table"): 1) Khasi megaliths - memorial stones (North Eastern India); 2) Asota Sharif (Stone circle at Kalula), Peshawar, Pakistan; 3) Legananny Dolmen, Castlewellan, Ireland; 4) Dolmen iof Halskom, Denmark. A dolmen is a type of single-chamber megalithic tomb, usually consisting of two or more vertical megaliths supporting a large flat horizontal capstone or "table". Most date from the early Neolithic (4000 - 3000 BC). Wood engravings, published in 1893.
