Balmoral Castle (Victorian engraving) - stock illustration
Balmoral Castle, the British Royal Family’s house when in Scotland. It is situated near Crathie in Aberdeenshire. The original house was purchased by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1852 but was found to be too small so it was demolished and rebuilt as the current Balmoral Castle in 1856. From “The Queen’s Resolve (‘I Will Be Good’) With Royal Anecdotes and Incidents - A Jubilee Memorial†by the Rev. Charles Bullock B.D. Published in London by ‘Home Words’ in 1887, the year of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. She reigned from 20 June 1837 – 22 January 1901.
