Blow To UK Steel Industry As Tata Cuts 1,200 Jobs
VOICED: Whilst China's president was receiving a warm ceremonial welcome, Britain's steel furnaces were going cold as the industry was delivered another major blow. Steel giant Tata has confirmed around twelve hundred people will lose their jobs at the company's Scunthorpe and Lanarkshire sites. It comes against the back-drop of thousands more redundancies at other UK based firms with many blaming cheap Chinese imports for the industry's current crisis, Sky News Mike McCarthy reports.
