Puzzling Rube Goldberg machines a surprise hit for Osaka woodworking firm
Video footage taken this year shows coconos, a wooden maze toy that has proven to be a hit for maker Daitokumokkan, a woodworking firm based in Higashi-Osaka, Osaka Prefecture. The firm developed the toy which costs over 10,000 yen ($91) as a way of making use of leftover pieces of wood in its workshop, drawing inspiration from the Rube Goldberg machines similar to those featured on PythagoraSwitch, an educational television program aired by Japan Broadcasting Corporation.
