'The Secret Policeman's Ball'

'The Secret Policeman's Ball'; ENGLAND: London: GIR: INT Al Murray (Comedian) LIVE STUDIO interview SOT - (Talking about being asked to perform at Amnesty International 'Secret Policeman's Ball' benefit gig at the Royal Albert Hall) I cannot believe I have been asked to do this show / Nervewracking to follow in footsteps of Cleese and Cook / I remember going to cinema to see this (peformance by John Cleese and Peter Cook at 1979 'Secret Policeman's Ball') / To be honest I don't really know what I'm doing here / It's brilliant / Fantastic to be asked / Amnesty is great thing to be involved with / To be honest I had never heard of human rights / I went to a public school (laughter) / Until I saw this (Cook and Cleese performance) I had never heard of them so it really put the issue on the map back then / Good thing to be involved in / Will be quite interesting playing this gig -(Asked about his new chat show) In January (2007) doing thing called 'Happy Hour' where the 'pub landlord' interviews celebrities / We will see whether ambushing celebrities is the way to go / I don't know what is going to happen / (Asked if hoping to puncture a few egos) I expect so somewhere along the line / To be honest it's quite a way off and these are difficult questions to answer right now / Brilliant line-up (referring to Amnesty International gig at Albert Hall) / People you wouldn't normally see on a stage together are going to do a sketch or a feature together / Think it will be good fun
