Lights, Cameras, Action! Crowds Get Snap-happy at Osaka Festival
The atmosphere was electric in Osaka’s Nakanoshima district as the Osaka Hikari-Renaissance 2017 illuminations were switched on, with spectators snapping pictures of the first-ever Wall Tapestry Lighting Show at Osaka City Central Public Hall.
The dazzling display projected on the hall, which will mark the 100th anniversary of its opening next year, is a highlight of this year’s Festival of the Lights in the city.
The annual light show, featuring a colorful spectacle of illuminated structures along the waterfront, began on Dec. 14 and will wow the crowds through Dec. 25.
